Level 3

Overview

Level 3 training provides practical, interactive sessions focusing on applying the Makaton Communication Programme in everyday settings. These sessions begin with a refresher on the signs taught in Levels 1 and 2, revisiting topics such as people, activities, events, and objects.

Learners will then be introduced to new vocabulary ideal for personal development, covering areas such as:

• Feelings
• Interests
• Community
• Thinking and knowing

This level also begins to explore more abstract concepts, including the use of prepositions.

This is an accredited workshop and is delivered by our own licensed Makaton tutor. An attendance certificate will be provided on completion, and a copy of the course manual is included in the pricing.

*Please note that learners will need to have completed Level 1 and 2 to access this course.

Learning Outcomes

• To have a firm understanding and knowledge of the signs and symbols from stages 5 and 6 of the core Makaton vocabulary.
• To feel confident in using signs and symbols more effectively in conversations at home or in your workplace.
• To develop skills in understanding and accurately expressing complex ideas and concepts using Makaton.
• To be able to convey accurate meaning and use Makaton to build deeper connections.
