Let's Communicate

FAQS

Practical answers about appointments, availability and fees.

Children should look back as adults and only remember meeting a nice person to play games or have chats. Adults should look forward to their sessions and feel supported and motivated.

Our approach is fun, kind and engaging but with strong clinical skills making it effective too.

We strive for children and adults to achieve their potential. It can be daunting coming to your first session with your child and so this leaflet explains what you can expect.

After the first session

During that first session we will make recommendations on moving forwards.  Any decision is then in conjunction with you around what fits you as a family best.  We do not require block-booking of appointments, and the regularity of sessions is flexible and specific to your needs.

All speech and language therapists must have the appropriate qualifications and registrations with professional bodies. The NHS therapists provide invaluable support. We liaise with your NHS therapist to make sure there is no unnecessary duplication and so that both therapists can make maximum impact. Using our service offers an alternative that can provide a number of unique benefits:

  • It typically allows for much faster access to a therapist, so you can begin your sessions sooner. We can offer flexibility on time and location.  This can be crucial when you are struggling and need support quickly.
  • It gives you a wider choice of therapists. You can choose a therapist who has a specific expertise or approach that you feel is the best fit for your individual needs.

Our rates include resources and any brief email summary. General liaison and reasonable emails are not charged.
