Level 2

Overview

Level 2 training builds on the knowledge gained in the level 1 training (Only those who have attended the Level 1 training can move onto level 2.) and focuses on stages 3 and 4 of the core vocabulary and the rest of the additional stage of the core vocabulary.

Learners will also learn about the theory behind Makaton and develop their signing skills practically. The manual, which will be posted, includes all the signs and symbols learnt.

This is an accredited workshop and is delivered by our own licensed Makaton tutor. An attendance certificate will be provided on completion, and a copy of the course manual is included in the pricing.

*Please note that learners will need to have completed Level 1 to access this course.

Learning Outcomes

• To have a firm understanding and knowledge of the signs and symbols from stages 3 and 4 of the core Makaton vocabulary and the remaining additional vocabulary.
• To feel confident in using signs and symbols at home or in your workplace.
• To be able to develop the communication efficiency of children, young people and adults.
